I was born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley. I attended public school at Riverton High, where I was a member of the competitive dance team, and graduated in June of 2017 with a 3.7 GPA. I am the oldest of three kids, and have two younger brothers. Our family loves watching and playing baseball, riding ATVs, and watching Hawaii 5-0 together. Growing up, I had thought about pursuing school to be a doctor, but I have always been very interested in business as well. In high school I did a little bit of searching to see how I could combine both of those fields in a career. Healthcare/hospital administration was almost exactly what I was looking for. I then became very interested in learning about the business processes behind medical care. So, I changed my major from Psychology, pre-Medical, to Economics. Since starting coursework in the Economics department at the Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business, I have become more and more interested in the world of sports marketing and reporting. I was given the opportunity to work as a Student Marketing Director for our Athletic Department for the 2019-20 academic year, and absolutely loved it. I decided to take a deeper look into this career as a possibility for me, and registered for a Sports Writing & Reporting class. I've since taken classes in Sports Economics, Sports Administration & Management, and Managerial Economics, to name a few. These classes have helped solidify my plans to pursue a career in the world of sports.
